Dangote Does Not Go To Church

Dangote Does Not Go To Church

When it comes to the teaching popularly called prosperity message, many critics most times cite rich unbelievers as a reason why such gospel is a big joke. In as much as I recognize the existence of undue excesses when it comes to this kind of preaching, I found this line of argument by critics quite repulsive and seriously flawed.

Anytime we use the life of unbelievers to measure the authenticity of biblical teachings, we are setting ourselves up for error. There're natural principles that work for anyone (all things being equal) and there are spiritual principles that works under certain condition. If Mr Egouwa made money applying natural principles, it doesn't negate the spiritual principles of wealth.

I rather look into the life of Abraham to draw conclusion about God's path to prosperity than to look into the life of Dangote. I live in a kingdom where the wealth of a nation was completely changed in 24 hours. There are no natural principles that can achieve that. Never! It can only take the supernaturally.

It's a high time we stopped preaching people who have no connection to our family ways and equally stop comparing the family principles with what is happening or not happening to them. We should rather look into the life of other family members who walked this world before us and be deeply convinced that what worked for them will work for us. Choose God's ways and stick to it, it works (supernaturally).
