You Don't Have To Fall

You Don't Have To Fall

Surprisingly, not many people are afraid of falling. But falling is real, and history is full of stories of powerful, rich, and highly respected people who fell to a position of nothingness. Many learned the hard way that fame and power can be very transient. Some others are at the extreme end of this, they are in constant fear of falling. They are always scared of losing their privileges and opportunities. They are scared of losing their jobs, their wealth, their faith, or whatever they hold valuable. But you don't have to fall or have the fear of falling.

People spend so much to protect themselves from falling. Some even had to steal and embezzle so much just to make sure they would not run dry. Insurance companies are established to help people minimize the risk of unexpected and devastating life events. But all of these have not been able to protect people from falling or eliminate the deep concerns people have around falling. Success, character, fame, faith, and related possession can not be insured or protected through these means. To move continuously upward and forward, one has to develop special character, uncommon attitude, extraordinary consciousness and supernatural relationship that transcends the ordinary.

Jesus told us the story of two builders. One building on the sand, the house was destroyed by the wind. The other built on the rock, 'and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been found on the rock.' (Matthew 7:25). This is the kind of life God wants us to live, a rock-solid life that cannot be destroyed by anything. You know after Jesus' death, some people felt he would fade away, but he never did because his ministry was built on something beyond the ordinary. And you can build your life on the same Spirit and principle. He told us how to make our life fall-proof, 'Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.' (Matthew 7:24).

When Paul contacted the same spirit that was in Jesus, he spoke about his new life saying: 'We are hard-pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.' (2 Corinthians 4:8). What a life! How inspiring it is to read this. A man who lived above the things that destroy others. The world is full of uncertainties but you can live your life under divine certainties. You don't have to fall, especially to fall from the faith. Many run and get weary but it should not be you. When you develop the mentality and character that God's word and Spirit confirms, you will find yourself only moving in the upward and forward direction. But alas, many have not developed the required Christian consciousness. Dear reader, that is where the victory is.

No need to be afraid of losing your job or whatever. 'Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.' (Ephesians 6:3). There are evil days but you don't have to fall as a result. When you build yourself in the most holy faith, and consciously walk in the light, you will be amazed how the events around you lose the power to destroy or limit you. When you align properly and stay consciously in the Word, you can live without fear and count on Him to keep you from falling. 'Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.' (Jude 1:24-25).
