The Hidden Prophets

Each time I go through what Nigerians say online about the church, I see their obvious blindness to what God is doing around the world. Many people think Christianity is dead everywhere else except in their village. They believe it is only in Africa that people can be 'deceived' by pastors. They believe the world is bad and completely bad and only stupid people will be wasting time and money in church. According to them, the people that brought the gospel to Africa have since stopped practicing the same.

How blind can people get? When you feed yourself with all the bad stuff on the internet, you will become so consumed by them that you think that's all people do. All the musicians you listen to are secular guys and you want to see Jesus dancing with them. You spend all your time on Netflix and wondering why you think all the white has since left Jesus. How can you be following only secular contents on different social media and wondering why you think everyone has since left Christianity except your village people? How delusional you've become?

Those people that are making you think that way (no matter how populous they appear) maybe just a small percentage of the world population. Where exactly are you getting your information from? Microsoft tech conference? America got talent? Champions league? CNN? You've been watching the wrong things in search of Christians. That you didn't find them there does not mean they are nowhere. Change your source of information and you will be amazed at how stupid you've been in your argument against the Christian faith.

Do you know the number of Christian worship and concerts that are held daily around the whole world? Do you know how many pastors and devoted Christians are in America and around the world? Do you know the amount of powerful Christian contents that are released daily? Do you know how much people in other parts of the world give for the gospel? What have you been watching? Stop filling your mind with junk that is capable of destroying your faith. The world is bigger than the conference you watched last week. It is bigger than the people protesting for gay rights. Just by watching Hillsongs and Bethel music daily, your eyes will open to see how devoted many outside your village are to the gospel.

Recently, I was given a duty in the church that involves working with some Europeans. I was so shocked by the level of their commitments and convictions. People were working day and night for the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I was so challenged. Yeah, there are many empty churches in Europe but there is more than the secular news media has not reported to you. There are so many that have pledged their allegiance to Christ and are very very zealous for the advancement of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Elijah had a similar challenge like most people today. Paul captured the situation very well saying 'Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel: 'Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and they are seeking my life as well'? And what was the divine reply to him? 'I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.'' (Romans 14:2-3).

Dear Christian spend more time watching what God is doing around the world than what Joe Biden is doing or any other person. There are many things to see in the world. So anything you focus your attention on will appear like the only thing happening in the world. My dear, STOP FEEDING ON DESPAIR!
