Grow Above Oils And Mantles

The more you understand who you are in Christ Jesus, the more you're propelled to throw away your anointing oil, spiritual mantle, anointed handkerchief, holy water, holy soil, bulletproof pullover, demon casting bibles, miracle stickers, etc. It has been a difficult thing for the natural man to have faith without objects but that is what Christ came to achieve in you. He doesn't want your faith to be attached to any external thing no matter the source but in the Holy Spirit who lives in you.

I understand that the anointing can be transferred to objects including furniture. However, God's purpose for the church is not for us to carry objects around as a source of our power but to demonstrate to the world that we are the carriers of the supernatural. Yes, we are. If the Holy Spirit lives in me, why should I need a bible in my room to feel safe? Why should I need oil to repel demons? And why should I need a sticker to attract miracles?

Last week I was telling a friend how happy I'm today that most objects people used to hold on to as a demonstration of their Christianity are falling away. Carrying of hardcopy bible, wearing a sacred necklace, praying with a bead, wearing a suit, etc. Before now, people showed their Christianity by constantly carrying the Bible, especially the big one. Some were called Christians not because there is something significant about the way they live their lives but simply because they see them carry the bible. Many even boast about it. Now that in many places one can hardly see a Christian carrying the bible even on a Sunday, everyone is forced to rethink what makes one a Christian and not hide some wicket practices with objects and symbols. (Of Course, those who are ashamed to carry the bible should verify that they are Christians at all.)

People would rather apply oil around their compound than overcome the devil by faith. Until objects or physical materials are involved, some can hardly live a life of faith. You're the temple of the Holy Spirit. You're the house of God. Don't become addicted to objects that you become totally powerless in the absence of them. Stop keeping oils or mantles in your house for the purpose of your prayers being answered. He doesn't need oil to answer your prayer, he needs your faith and you can develop your faith to operate without links to objects.

I feel so happy that I don't need to carry anything while I travel as a Christian. Everything I need is contained inside. If an emergency comes, I can happily deal with it because everything I need to deal with it is self-contained. I don't even need to call the God of Elijah, or whoever, I will call my God, I will speak out my faith. Stop trying to show Christianity or faith by objects, show it with yourself. If objects and oils can carry the anointing, how much more you. Grow up! Grow in faith!

There is nothing special with the oil people buy in the market and call it anointing oil. The only thing is that you have put your faith in it. Why put your faith in oil when you can have faith without it. Why put faith in mantles when you can have faith without it? Why put faith in stickers when you can have faith without them? Why put faith in a book( bible) when you can have faith without it. The bible book is given for you to study to put the word inside you. And it is only the one that is inside that really works. Without the word that is inside, the book called Bible is just like any other book. Realize who you're in the bible and become a champion in life.

Remember, our armor of God/Faith contains no stickers, no oil-water, no clay, no pullover, no objects: 'Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests' (Ephesians 6:14-18)
